What’s included in every dose of BalanceTime Plus?
Each dose of BalanceTime Plus is packed with gut, liver and pancreas support, along with minerals and plant extracts that can help control appetite. Here’s what you’ll find inside BalanceTime Plus:
Iodine (derived from bladderwrack)
Iodine is an essential nutrient that our bodies cannot produce. Iodine is prevalent in seafood, dairy and eggs, but some people still suffer from iodine deficiency. That can make effective weight management difficult, as our thyroids require iodine to produce thyroid hormones.
Thyroid hormones exert a lot of control over the body, including factoring into metabolism. Weight gain is common in people who have lower iodine levels and BalanceTime Plus is designed to counter this deficiency.
Chromium (derived from chromium polynicotinate)
Chromium is another mineral our bodies cannot produce on their own, and so we need it from diet and supplementation. However, the human gut is not equipped to absorb chromium efficiently, so supplementation is often required.
There is some research that supports the use of chromium as a weight management option. One study found that supplementing chromium could improve the body’s response to insulin and better stabilize blood sugar levels. Another study found that chromium, when used by overweight women, could reduce food cravings and intake.
Garcinia cambogia fruit extract
Garcinia cambogia is a tree native to southeast Asia that produces fruit rich in hydroxycitric acid, or HCA. It’s the fruit’s peel that contains most of the HCA, and BalanceTime Plus uses peel extract in every dose.
Research into HCA’s benefits has confirmed that the fruit can improve several heart disease risk factors. Specifically, it can reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and triglycerides. Garcinia cambogia also inhibits the production of belly fat and can reduce appetite.
This isn’t the starchy banana-like fruit, but a weed that grows throughout Europe and Asia. Plantain leaves and seeds have been used in medicine for centuries, and they remain a popular choice for people with inflammatory conditions. That’s because plantain leaf is brimming with anti-inflammatory compounds, including flavonoids, glycosides, terpenoids and tannins.
Together, these compounds can help with various conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, diarrhea and other digestive disorders. Plantain leaf has even been shown to slow the growth of some cancer cells.
Stinging nettle leaf
Stinging nettle is loaded with nutrients and has been featured in medicine since the ancient Romans and Egyptians. It’s called stinging nettle because its leaves cause a slight burning sensation when touched. Cooking it or including it in a supplement removes this effect.
Stinging nettle is also effective at reducing inflammation, to the point where it can relieve arthritis pain in many patients. The plant is also linked to lower blood pressure and better blood sugar control. In fact, stinging nettle includes compounds that may function almost identical to insulin.
Cordyceps mushroom extract
Cordyceps mushrooms grow all over the world, but they are most common in tropical areas. Like stinging nettle and plantain lead, the cordyceps mushroom has been used in medicine for centuries.
It can provide a range of benefits when supplemented, such as reducing inflammation, blood sugar levels and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. As such, it can be used to reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease. In animal studies, cordyceps mushrooms also show potential as anti-tumor and anti-aging agents.
Bladderwrack seaweed and algae grow along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and are high in several nutrients. It contains large amounts of vitamin A and C, along with iodine, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and zinc. It’s also high in antioxidants and fiber.
It’s these nutrients that make bladderwrack algae a good choice for inflammatory conditions, including inflammation that could lead to heart disease or elevated blood sugar. The iodine in bladderwrack can also restore thyroid balance and help with weight loss, especially in people suffering from iodine deficiency.
Fenugreek is a versatile plant that can be used in cooking or in medicine. In medicine, it has been a popular option for thousands of years in treating several conditions.
Several studies confirm that fenugreek can be used to offset the effects of metabolic conditions, including diabetes. Fenugreek seed can reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol, blood sugar levels and improve carbohydrate processing in people with diabetes. Even in healthy people, fenugreek has been shown to reduce blood sugar. A few studies also suggest that fenugreek may reduce appetite in people.
Digestive enzyme blend
Every dose of BalanceTime Plus also includes a proprietary blend of digestive enzymes. This blend includes protease, lipase, amylase and cellulase, and each targets a different nutrient for improved digestion.
Protease breaks down proteins, lipase processes fats, amylase is used to digest sugars and cellulase can break down the stubborn polysaccharides found in plant cell walls. Together, these enzymes can help reduce the impact of gut-upsetting foods and improve nutrient uptake.
Are there any allergens in BalanceTime Plus?
BalanceTime Plus is formulated without any common allergens or irritants. There is no dairy (including lactose), peanut, soy, wheat or sugar in our supplement and it is compatible with a vegetarian diet.
